DMCA & COPYRIGHT

ON THIS PAGE

Last updated: 2 November 2026. themovierulz.online respects the intellectual property rights of filmmakers, studios, artists and all other rights holders, and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable copyright law everywhere we operate.

OUR POSITION

themovierulz.online is an information website. We do not host any movie files, streams or downloads on our servers, and no film can be watched or downloaded here. The text on this site is our own original editorial writing, and the poster-style artwork is original illustration created for this website — not the official artwork of any film, and using no actor's likeness. Movie titles and names are used purely to identify and inform. Because of how the site is built, infringement here is unlikely — but we take every genuine claim seriously and act on valid notices promptly, as set out below.

FILING A TAKEDOWN NOTICE

If you are a rights holder, or an agent authorised to act for one, and you believe that content on themovierulz.online infringes your copyright, send a notice to our dedicated contact, [email protected], with the subject line "DMCA Notice", including all of the following:

1. Your identification and authority — your full name, your relationship to the copyrighted work, and, if you are an agent, evidence that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.
2. The copyrighted work — a clear identification of the work you say has been infringed (for example, the film title and the rights you hold in it).
3. The exact page URL on themovierulz.online where the allegedly infringing material appears — page-level URLs let us act immediately; site-level complaints without a URL cannot be actioned precisely.
4. Your contact details — an email address (and, optionally, a phone number) where we can reach you about the notice.
5. A good-faith statement — a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.
6. An accuracy statement and your signature — a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act, signed physically or electronically (typing your full legal name is acceptable for an electronic notice).

AFTER A VALID NOTICE

When a notice containing the elements above arrives, we review it promptly. If the notice is valid, the reported material or link is removed or disabled quickly — in most cases within a few working days, and faster where the claim is clear. We will confirm the action to the notice sender by reply. Incomplete notices are not ignored: we will write back identifying what is missing so a complete notice can be sent.

COUNTER-NOTICE

If material you are associated with was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your name and contact details, the URL of the removed material, and a statement of your good-faith belief that the material was removed in error. We will review counter-notices on their merits and, where appropriate under applicable law, may restore the material after the waiting period the law requires.

REPEAT INFRINGERS

Our stance is simple: we do not tolerate repeat infringement. Any contributor, partner or linked source found to repeatedly infringe copyright will have their content or links permanently removed from themovierulz.online and the relationship ended.

CONTACT FOR NOTICES

All copyright and DMCA correspondence goes to Sofia Khan, editor of themovierulz.online, at [email protected] — please use the subject line "DMCA Notice" for takedowns and "DMCA Counter-Notice" for counter-notices, so your email is routed and answered without delay. General questions can also be sent through the Contact page.

FALSE OR MISDIRECTED NOTICES

Copyright law provides penalties for knowingly false takedown claims, and we reserve the right to disregard notices that are incomplete, that target material we do not control, or that are sent in bad faith — for example, attempts to remove honest editorial commentary, figures compiled from public trade reporting, or our own original artwork. If your concern is actually about accuracy rather than copyright — a wrong figure, date or credit — you will get a faster result through the corrections route on the Contact page, and we thank you in advance for it.

WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS

This policy covers content published on themovierulz.online and in the official MovieRulz app. It does not cover third-party websites we link to — cinemas, ticketing platforms, streaming services and reference sites operate under their own copyright processes, and claims about their content should be directed to them.
